I have the blackberry tour and I just recently updated the software. With the old software I was able to turn off the facebook notifications and with the new one I can't. I use the facebook app

Open the Facebook app and click the menu button, scroll to options, uncheck the Blackberry Message application checkbox. Should stop sending notifications.
