ipod touch facebook push notifications?

I recently got an Ipod touch and have the latest I.O.S. However, despite not having all the push notifications on, I do not get notifications for Facebook. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
I actually have all the push notifications active for Facebook, yet I still don't receive notifications

Settings>all the way to the bottom>Facebook> push notifications.

In the newest iOS (5.0.1 or 5.0), notification settings for facebook are changeable in settings>notifications>facebook, once you are in there turn on "notification center", and all other settings, including turning alert style to "alerts"
