what is the l.e.d. on the sony xperia j?
I recently got a new xperia j and have noticed that when the keypad is locked and the room is dark, there is a very faint and small white led just left of the front camera. Has anyone else noticed it and what is its purpose?

The Sony Xperia J has the usual LED above the screen to notify you when you've got new mail messages, emails or missed calls

Check the link. I think it will clear your doubts.

It could be a notification LED which blinks when you have some unread e-mail, message, notification, Whatsapp, Facebook notifications, etc. The other LED like thing is the proximity sensor. It is used to switch off the screen when you are talking over the phone(to save battery).
