Help with Facebook notifications?

A little bit ago, somehow I accidentally set my Facebook to block notifications from my news feed. Now i don't get notifications for wall posts or comments or anything like that! I don't know how to change the settings! Help?
I went to Settings, Account Settings, Notifications, but that gives me the choice of which notifications I get by email. I need the ones where the little red box pops up in my corner.

Go to Account; Account Settings; Notifications. Check or uncheck the notifications you would or would not like to receive. You can do it!
