how to turn off notifications in FaceBook?
I'm on Facebook and I'm getting notifications about an article I commented on on another site (which I get thru F/B). I don't particularly want those notifications. I went to Settings and then to Learn More which said "Click globe icon: Hover your mouse over the notification you want to stop seeing and click the X that appears: Click Turn Off.
well, it didn't work. No X appeared no matter how long I "hovered".
Is there any other way to turn off only certain notifications?

Zach Evans..... yes that would work.... but it's a bit drastic, isn't it?

Simply Red... that's what I've been doing but it's not working
