is there a way to delete facebook notifications?

can it be possible to delete notifications like the ones when they accept my friend requests

1. Click on your Facebook picture to bring up your profile
2. Below your profile you will find the Subscribes button. (This works only if you have the subscriber button)
3. On the right-hand side click on "Edit Settings"
4. From the drop-down beside Notifications whose activity do you want to be notified about.
5. Choose no one. ( This will stop all friends activity coming into your Facebook Ticker, this will include activity about Likes, comments and new subscribers)
