facebook notification question?

i hate notifications coming to my email because its soo annoying, i found out where to change notifications coming in i just clicked account settings and then clicked notifications. it says : Facebook notifies you whenever actions are taken on Facebook that involve you.

Each Facebook application has its own notification settings. Click the checkbox to change the settings for that application.

Send email notifications to: _________

then underneath it says all the stuff they send you notifications for like :
Facebook -
Sends me a message
Adds me as a friend
Confirms a friendship request
Posts on my wall
..things like that.

heres my question and it kinda might sound stupid =$ but..if i uncheck ALL the boxes i know it will stop the notifications coming to my email, but will it stop me from seeing my notifications? like the little thing in the corner where the red box is with the number of notifications

you will still see your notifications, they just won't notify your email.

Yes it will ,but you can always see them the old fashioned way --By actually logging in

i know what you mean....it fulls up ur email.....but you could create another email account for personal stuff...(i have two email accounts one for facebook that has like about 20,000+ mails and another for personal use)...but if you uncheck the boxes it won't stop ur notifs*from the red thing*.......hope you take ma advice and it works

No, it won't because you will only change the settings for your email notifications. The notifications that appear at the right side of the chat box have different settings.
