How to avoid feeling left out?
Today, my class went on a field trip and we had to be divided into ten groups. I grouped with my best friend and two other "friends". When we were on the bus, I sat beside my best friend. She kept texting one of our group members and two other people on the bus... At that moment, I had this weird feeling. When we went down the bus and started our assignment, I felt kinda out of place cause I was grouped with people of opposite personalities, aka my best friend and the two other "friends". They were kinda popular and outgoing while im the one who is more serious and less outgoing. The "friends" kept texting and going on Facebook/Twitter. I don't have a Facebook account now cause I deactivated cause of some bad experiences I had on it last year. My best friend was kinda running about and leaving me behind.. I know I seem like a Drama Queen but I felt left out.,, I initially wanted to group with people of the same personality as me but my best friend dragged me into a group I didn't want to be in... How can i avoid feeling left out when I'm people that are of different personality of me? Don't say to join other people I dont want to leave my best friend behind.

learn to adapt to your surroundings (as in just talk to them about doing what you might want to do) but never let go of your personality because that is what makes you YOU!

or if you really feel left out, you could just ask your best friend that you feel uncomfortable and that you might want to be with another group and that if you (best friend) would join you in leaving that group behind.

good luck
