is it fine to just like a comment instead of replying on facebook?
like say u post a pic and like 20 ppl comment on it all saying "youre so pretty" etc like the same thing. and i dnt feel like replying "thanks" to every single comment especially cuz there's like 80 likes and then the ppl wud just keep receiving notifications. so instead i just "like" their comment instead. is that rude?

no its not rude at all! I do that all the time. At least you liked it? i get 400 plus likes and i like All the comments lol.

It's completely fine! I do that a lot, I don't consider it rude and I doubt that others find it rude.
