How do you check your notifications on the new facebook?

if you already looked at your new notifications, but then you want to go back to your notifications, and the thing that says "you have new notifications" doesnt show up, how do you check?

check the bottom right of the screen next to the chat.

on the grey bar at the bottom of the screen click the signpost next to chat and a tab will pop up showing you five of your notifications, if you want to see more click See All at the top of the tab.
