What are you all doing right now? If you don't have homework what do you do? How do you guys study for any kind of test? Do you take extra credit? Do you love school? What advice can you give me? Did you think chemistry was hard? And what was your favorite subject?

To be honest the best advice I can give you is to focus your mind on the task at hand. Most people are too accustomed to multitasking a hundred different things when trying to "study". They'll pull out their books or homework with the t.v. on, phone in hand, computer shouting at them with facebook notifications, and a multitude of other distractions. That's not to say that you can't have a life outside of your studies, in fact it's the opposite. If you dedicate and audit your time wisely you can get the most out of any situation.

As far as how to study, it really depends on the course. Math it's always best to memorize the formulas and do as many problems as possible. Most books should have the answers to the problems in their glossary or at the end of the chapter. For memorization it's different for everyone, but I tend to make flash cards or create a power point slide with animations. The extra effort in creating something helps bring your mind back to that particular time and makes it easier to remember.

Never really took "extra" credit, but did take all of the dual credit and "difficult" classes available.

Favorite subject was math followed closely by chemistry. Chemistry has a lot of formulas and math involved so, once again, it's best to try and memorize the basic principles and then hammer them in with good old fashioned practice.

Hope I was of some help to you. Have a good one.

Im watching a movie currently even though i do have homework. But when I don't have homework, I usually read or watch a movie or go out to play sports and such.
I'm very traditional when I study for tests, being a visual learner, i take out all my notes of the unit, read over them and re-write the key points in a shorter version. for example, if in the notes it says: "when the pressure increases, the temperature increases" you can write this as " as P^, T^". Also, I always have a problem underneath the notes as i color code the main points. ( at the end, I keep these notes and use them to study for exams) also, i make sure i do at least one problem for each concept.
No. i dont take extra-credit. I try to live my life. Smile
I do enjoy school but I can hate it at times like currently im taking french and it's killing me. But I look forward to school Smile
Do your homework. I'm not saying finish it. I'm jus saying do it, do a bit. And whatever you don't finish, circle it or but an asterix beside it so that you can work on it before exams. Also, don't hestitate to ask your teachers for help. Be a suck up. this helps later for recommendations. Big Grin
Yes, actually i did think it was hard but i think it was because my teacher wasn't very ..teach-y. i didn't end up with a bad mark though because i went on ilc.org : teachers tutor you online.
definitely biology and history. I HATE MATH!
