why is this guy acting so weird?

it was a real spur of the moment thing on twitter, he's in a band so I never in a million years expected anything to come of my tweets to him. I was messing around after he tweeted he got out of the shower and made a dirty joke about not dropping the soap, a few seconds later he starts following me and I get a DM. We're talking and with my laptop being buggered he suggests we text instead of skype so I give him my number and he texts me, i'm not looking for anything heavy so it suited me that he was flying to America the following morning. Thing is though he still follows me on twitter he's now point blank ignoring me. I haven't text him but I have tweeted him a few times. Why give me his number in the first place? i'm kind of confused, any advice on his behaviour? he's a scorpio if that helps
