In Facebook, Is there a way to prevent notifications from games your friends play from showing in your feed?

All my friends play Farmville and I'm so sick of the stupid notifications.

you just put your mouse over the top left of the notification in your feed, and a little menu pops out. click "don't show this" or whatever and it removes it from your feed.

well if you double click the little icon that pops up notifications, another page comes up and you can decide what you want to be notified about my checking or unchecking boxes.

The next time one of them publishes a farmville story hover over it and you should see two options. One to hide the friend and one to hide the application
