Which Sims 3 Expansion Pack Should I Get?
I have the Sims 3 base game, ambitions, and late night, but I'm trying to decide which one I should get next-World Adventures or Generations. Please help!

Get Generations. It adds much more gameplay than World Adventures does.
There's more interactions, clothes, furniture, and activities for families.
For the toddlers, there's imaginary friends. Have your toddler play with the imaginary friend a lot until you get a notification saying that something might happen if your toddler keeps playing with it. After you recieve that notification, have the toddler continue playing with it until another notification pops up. Once the toddler is a child, a notification will appear asking you to place the IF on the ground. The IF will then turn into a character that moves around and your child can interact with. No one other than that child is able to see the friend.
For children and teenagers, there's boarding school and pranks. Boarding school sends the child/teen off to a school where they will learn gain traits and learn skills. You cannot play as the Sim that is at boarding school. They are taken care of at the school. Prank wise, you can put whoopie cushions in the couch and seats, set booby-traps for the shower which changes a Sim's hair, you can set sinks to spray, and more. There's also treehouses, water slides, see-saws, hopscotch, and more outdoor things for children.
As a child, your Sim can make their Imaginary Friend real. By gaining the logic skill and using the chemistry table that comes with Generations. Once they discover the Imaginary Friend potion, they can give it to their IF and make them real!! Then, once a teenager, they can become boyfriend and girlfriend and go to prom together.
For teens, they can go to prom. It's a rabbithole, but your Sim can be named Prom King/Queen. They also come home with pictures of them and their date (unless they didn't have one). Also, teens are taught how to drive by a young adult or adult on the lot.
Young Adults and Adults have no real different actions other than "Attack with Claw" to toddlers, "Teach to drive" with teenagers, and other special actions that come with the new traits (will explain later). They can also ground their child if the child is behaving badly, like pulling pranks or ditching school.
Elders have canes....That's all I know. I have yet to play with an elder Sim.
The new traits are Nurturing and Rebellious. Rebellious Sims pull pranks easier and sneak out easier and the like. Nurturing Sims supposedly understand mood swings. (Yes, teenagers get mood swings. They only last a day though.)
New additions to the game in general include memories. Whenever your Sim does something for the first time or reaches a certain level, gets a promotion, stuff like that, they gain a memory. If you want to, you can share the memory on Facebook, the Sims 3 website, and maybe Twitter.
A new cheat is entering "testingcheatsenabeld true" and then shift+clicking on a Sim. A new option pops up to "Edit in CAS". There you can edit them like you were creating a brand new Sim.
There is one new profession, daycare center. Basically you take care of toddlers.

That's all I can think of right now. In my opinion, you should get Generations. It's much better. World Adventures just adds vacations and a few new skills.
