iphone 4s issues after syncing with itunes?

i previously had the iphone 4 but it dropped in the toilet and wouldnt work again so i upgraded to the 4s for 50 dollars. i actually like it better probably because it worked lol my other one had been wet so many times and so many things stopped working. anyway good thing i backed all my info up on the computer so yesterday i synced my new phone with itunes and now its like im using my old phone again. i dont get my facebook notifications. i have to keep going to the app to see if i have any messages or comments. my phone doesnt vibrate when i get emails. is this something i can change in my settings because with my old phone these things stopped working due to the phone being wet alot but now since i synced my phone with itunes nothing is working like it did at first. plesase help
